NEW YORK, NY. – December 6, 2019 – Today Group Gordon, a strategic communications firm working in the corporate and public affairs sectors, was honored at the Crain’s Best Places to Work Awards as one of New York City’s 100 best workplaces of any size and any industry. Following a survey of more than 20,000 employees, Group Gordon was recognized for its commitment to fostering a fulfilling work environment.
“We have an employee-first culture, and as it turns out, that’s better for clients, too,” said Michael Gordon, principal of Group Gordon. “Crain’s recognizing us for our work environment is arguably the greatest honor we could achieve.”
Group Gordon offers generous compensation, health benefits, retirement/profit-sharing contributions, and a parental leave policy that goes far beyond legal requirements. The firm also sponsors programs focused on employees’ professional development, wellness, and team bonding, including days off to pursue health and wellness activities, peer- and expert-led learning sessions, and participation in a corporate sports league.
The Best Places to Work in New York City award program, in its 12th year, is dedicated to identifying and recognizing the city’s best employers. More than 20,000 employees in the five boroughs participate, with respondents assessing work environment, leadership, benefits, and company culture. The process is managed by independent research firm Best Companies Group, which distributes the surveys, analyzes the data and determines the final rankings. The winners are published by Crain’s New York Business, which does not have any input into the rankings.
